After a questionable start in movies in the
70's, I doubt anyone expected to see the name Schwarzenegger anywhere near
main-stream movies. And now look at him? We can
even spell his name!
Terminator 2: Judgment Day was one of those
flicks that really tore onto the screen. With some amazing special effects and
an intense plot, moviegoers
really flocked to the theatres. And I was thrilled with it from the start -- I
believe I saw it twice in the first few weeks of its release. Watching it again
on video, I realize that it's a bit pretentious,
but it's still entertaining. And the great thing about this sequel is that you
don't have to watch the first one to understand what's going on. In fact, I
didn't see the original movie until a few years
after T2 came out. And I'd have to say that while the original is interesting,
the sequel is thrilling.
