No doubt this is the greatest role of Jeremy
Irons' career -- heck he even took home the Oscar. But it is Glenn Close who
steals the show as the doomed Sunny von Bulow.
Not only does she narrate the movie from her coma (a brilliant piece of
storytelling), but even with a relatively small role, she owns this movie.
My only gripe about
this flick and the only thing keeping out of the top 10 is Ron Silver -- I just
don't like him. He's smarmy and he has bad hair...and he's too short. I
suppose that all fits the character, but it doesn't
mean I have to like it. He plays Alan Dershowitz and I'm convinced that the
story makes him too much of a hero -- I'm not buying his sincerity or integrity!
But hey, it's Hollywood and this is a move.
