Yes, this movie is a bit sentimental and a bit
weepy (which is unusual for me), but I love it. First of all, Bette Davis looks
absolutely bloody fantastic. I mean look
at that hair! And secondly, no other movie could use cigarettes in such a
bizarre romantic way (you kind of have to see it to believe it).
Bette plays a bit of an old maid
who comes out of her shell (through therapy) and falls in love with a married
man. The story is tragic and beautiful at the same time. And Bette Davis is
stunning. I can watch this movie over and over.
