Maybe you can't stand Cher so you avoided this
movie -- well, that's too bad because you really missed something. I fell in
love with this movie very quickly and my
love of it has really endured.
This is the quirky little flick with a big heart.
The quirks are what it make it hysterically funny and the big heart is what
makes you
walk away smiling. Cher is better in this movie than in any other movie she's
over done. Remember, she took home the Oscar for playing someone that the world
didn't think she could portray. But Cher
alone does not make this movie -- there are some fantastic characters here. In
particular, Olympia Dukakis as her mother and Vincent Gardenia as her father
make this one of the most beautifully acted
and funny pictures of all time.
