This is easily the best movie of any of the
people listed above. We have this movie on laserdisc, so I've seen it several
times -- but that doesn't stop me from laughing.
There are some A+ lines (some of which I'm convinced were ad-libbed by Murray)
and there's a happy ending -- all in all, a good formula for an entertaining
flick.
Bill's
character is a bit tragic, but by the end he's redeemed. Normally movies that
redeem characters over a couple of hours are contrived and I find it hard to
believe. But not here, you truly see Phil grow
and change as he lives the same day over and over and over and over and...well,
you get the idea.
