The Grifters is not your average
Hollywood movie -- the characters have very few (if any) redeeming qualities,
yet you are absolutely riveted by their every move.
The end is as shocking as it is fascinating and John Cusak DOES NOT play a
teenager.
This movie is based in that sort of seedy
underbelly of society that most of us pretend
doesn't exist -- that place where con artists rule and everyone else is just a
sucker. But there's something about this movie that makes you watch! Maybe
it's your hope that the con artists will get
what's coming to them...or maybe it's because you are quietly pulling for them
to get away with their cons.
